Hi, I was wondering if you guys thought this percussion revolver would be semi easy to switch to 45LC...to me it looks like all ya would need to do is get a different chamber or modify the percussion one and file the firing pin. any help would be appreciated. thanks yall!:)

WHY ?

Why not?

If you've got the money, someone has the time.

There are several threads on it. Seems impractical compared to others though, as it's much easier to slap a conversion cylinder assembly in a 1860 or an 1858.

So, just go buy a cartridge gun to begin with and avoid the hassle of futzing up a C&B version.

Yup, by the time you by the C&B 73 and the cylinder and do all the work it would have been easier and probably as cheap to have bought a cartridge 73 in the first place. Dude selling Hombres on gunbroker for 250 NIB.

This has come up before - someone who can't buy a cartridge revolver looking for a way to make one. Perhaps that's the case here.;)

Just want a cool looking gun that will shoot 45lc and 44 bp...ya i already have a 1858 remington so i dont need another one of those yet ;P

Finally done!

I have just finished this revolver and now io can shoot 45ACP and 45LC and 44 C&B through this! Thanks for the advice yall! want pictures?

pictures!

Here are some pictures. All i had to do was file a point in my firing 'pin', and make a different cylinder pin...made out of a old screw driver.
Now all i have to do is register the gun :D
