1873 pietta "SAA"

i have a pietta 1873 c&b that i have installed a colt 3 gen 5 1/2 barrel and 45lc cylinder in. I've run hundreds of rounds threw it with out a problem. all having been cowboy loads. I've been thinking about trying some regular loads in it. "any info i can get on regular 45lc low pressure rounds would be greatly appreciated". i also have a 1873 c&b uberti. that I've changed the 4 3/4 barrel to a regular 4in uberti barrel with shell extractor. and a 45 ACP cylinder. that I'm changing the grips out to a bird heads set up. i have also run hundreds of rounds of 45acp fmj rounds threw it with out a problem. both guns still fire 44 c&b with no problem.

I have one of those guns. That is a beautiful, well made pistol.

I can't imagine a more forgiving round to try this with. Personally, I'd stick with RNFP's because I believe they'd handle little discrepancies in cylinder/forcing cone alignment- if there are any.
