1860 Spencer Carbine......Value?

I sure could use a little help here. I have the chance to buy an 1860 Spencer Carbine in teriffic condition. I would say that it is a 9 out of 10 on a condition scale.

Four digit serial #, case hardening all there and it just looks amazing. It has been in a private collection for 50 years and just became available.

What would estimate its value to be?

I don't want to let it walk away, but I am somewhat restricted on how much I can spend.

Thanks a lot.

I assume your "1860" comes from the patent date, as there were no Model 1860 Spencers, the first production guns being the Model 1863. With some 50,000 made, they are fairly common but are generally in poor condition, having seen a lot of use. IMHO, one as described would probably bring $3500-4000.
