1858 Trigger

My Pietta 1858 's both had triggers with an uncomfortable curve for my finger.
Maybe they are very close copies of originals but they are curved to place the bottom of the trigger at the bottom of my finger with uneven pressure that is not comfortable. I removed the triggers and annealed them with a Mapp gas torch, bent a lot of the curve out of each one and rehardened them with Kasenit. Very comfortable now, not original, but very pleasant to shoot.

Having a trigger that fits your finger is nice. I have not bent any triggers but I have reshaped several. Mostly taking the sharp edges off.
The trigger on the Pietta 58 shooters model is grooved and has less of a curve to it that the standard target or fixed sight models.

You can straighten the Pietta triggers in a vise without heatin' um...had to do that on a replacement trigger for one of my Belgian Centaures.
Works out great... :O)
