Hey Folks,
I´m writing from outside the U.S. (so please excuse mistakes concerning my language). I furthermore want you to excuse, if this ist he wrong section of the board for my questions.

A relative had this little piece for over 25 years on her basement and remembered it a short while ago. As we live in a country with really strict laws (obscene strict), we have no real life opportunity to get this weapon checked.

I do not need an exact number in dollars, but rather some categorization like what do the numbers tell us about the worth, how good ist the condition, are there any specialities, that you recognize that would affect the worth... stuff like that.
Off course it would be nice to get a „it´s worth ...$“ answer, but I guess this is impossible without more information and actually seeing the thing.

Thanks for your time,
Bob

The experts around here are in the Black Powder section of the forum.
They should be able to tell if this is an original or a replica.
Aren't these types of guns, cap and ball style, still legal to own in the UK?
Pretty sure they are.
If so, there's going to be folks on your side of the pond who can assist.

Would a Mod be so nice and move this thread to the Black Powder Section mentioned by g.willikers?

I am not from the UK, but a country in which no private person is allowed to have any weapon, because two generations ago non private persons committed horrible crimes... ;-)

I attached a few more pictures. The number 44475 is present on any part.

Maybe I am able to make a few more, but this could take a few days, as the item itself now is hidden in a safe place that I don´t have access to all the time.

Condition looks pretty good for a recent manufacture nickel plated
1851 replica.

Value is whatever you can get for it---maybe $150?

London colts had iron grip frames.
Barrel address is completely bogus.
While there WERE some Navy marked nickel
plated 51's, they were NOT London guns.
1851 Navy London guns were pretty much done by sn 42,000.

It's a reproduction and looks like a nice one. Possible made in Belgium but not a Centaur. Does not look Italian. The Germans made some cap and balls revolvers.
