I've got the 9th edition of Hornady manual and it doesn't show the 178eldx. Anybody got a 10th edition that could take a snapshot for the 300 wsm -30-06 and 308. Sure would be appreciated. Got 300 today and didn't realize they are not in my mannual. Hoping they got some loads for RL 17. Picked up my first 2 pounds today.

Use the Speer 180 grain BTSP data on Alliant's site. The 2 grains won't matter. You do not need bullet specific data.

I had looked at it earlier. They only give one powder charge. No minimum or max to work up to. Be nice to do some ladder tests at different charges.

Thanks Metal. I had googled some loads and from what I read Alliant was at max charge if not over. Going to order an updated Hornady manual this week. Think I can get it in an I book. At this time I was most interested in the 300 wsm.

FWIW I've found data for Nosler bullets and Hornady within the same bullet weight to be close enough. As always start low and work up. I've been using them in 308 with Varget and 30-06 with H4350. I used 180 gr load data. I found the exact load I had been using with 180 gr Hornady and Nosler bullets to work just fine in 30-06.

This is the 1st time I'd tried anything heavier than 165gr in 308, but I found 1/2 gr below max for 180 gr bullets to give me great accuracy in 308.

Good luck Wendy.
I love RL17 for the 7mm-08AI.
Don't use/care for it in the 308.
Getting better velocity with PowerPro 2000, and Hodgdon CFE223.
Also getting lower extreme spread, and standard deviation.

Getting SD of 2 with PP2000 im the 7mm-08. Hard to get much lower.
