S SRE New member Nov 3, 2011 #1 In your opinion, what is your most accurate .17 HMR ammo? I personally like the Hornady 20g XTP and CCI 17g TNT. I do not think I like Federal 17g V-Shok... it has been inconsistent in my last 3 outings shooting Whistle Pigs. What do you like?

M Mobuck Moderator Nov 3, 2011 #2 Hornady 17 gr Vmax gives me cloverleafs @ 100 yards from my Ruger standard weight 77/17. It might be better than that with a target type scope with fine crosshairs and more magnification.

J jdillon New member Nov 3, 2011 #3 I have good results with the Hornady 20 gr shot out of a ruler 77/17 with Shilen medium heavy bbl.
