14 round mags for Sig 227 reliability

I've read many times that the reliability of the 14 round mags is suspect. Especially when they were first released.

Does anyone have any more recent experiences or news?

I just bought one from Cabelas but haven't tried it yet so I too am interested in other shooters' experience with the SIG extended capacity magazine for the Model 227.

Mine is a factory SIG (made in Italy, probably by Mec-Gar) . Wasn't cheap either @ over fifty bucks.

Mec-Gar produces some FINE magazines. My Sigs function just fine with them. I do not have any 14 rounders though for my 227. I would be interested in feedback on this issue. I would bet they work fine.

The reason I started the thread was because many 227 owners had issues with feeding reliability out of the 14 round magazines when the pistols were first released. I'm hoping by now they resolved that issue.
