12ga. Mossberg 9200 ???

shortwave

Forgive me for asking about this shotgun as I know if I did a search I'd probably find my info. Just don't have time to search as I may be buying the 12ga. 9200 in about 3-4hrs.

I know this shotgun is no longer made.

This particular shotgun is camo'ed synthetic stalk, in overall fairly good shape, used and set up for slug deer hunting, don't know length of barrel but it is a rimchoke, comes scoped (don't know scope/mounts brand) with sling. Owner wants $200.00.

Questions are: 1. Is this shotgun known to be dependable?
2. Are parts hard to get?
3. When looking at this gun is there any particular area I should pay special attention to?
4. What's a good price?

Thanks in advance.

Reliability in my experience is hit or miss. I used to have one and I know several others who own them. Most of them worked well, a few of the guys had issues with reliability. If you get a good one that is a great price. Even if it gives you problems you should be able to get your money back at that price. I'd give it a try.

Thanks for your response jmr40. I bought it. Needed another shotgun like I need a helicoptor parked out back:rolleyes:.
We'll see how she shoots tomorrow.

Thanks Ranting. I got a call early this morning it was for sale. I looked on the "shotguns for sale" here on TFL. Didn't find anything.
I don't know anything about this shotgun. Your thread has some good info. Thanks again!
