12 Guage Hunting or HD load

I'm no expert but a fragmenting slug seems good for hd but I don't know about large game. I would stick with Dixie Slugs -DGS or Tri-Ball or Brenneke - we know these work for sure.
 
This exact stuff came up recently - if you can find them here, the question still begs...Why? - if you really feel you need something like that for HD, you must really live in a crappy neighborhood. Basic buckshot in a variety of flavors, is a lot less expensive and more readily available
 
Never heard of it till this post but just looking and reading the writeup it seems like a gimmick to me. A lot like I read on every new and wonderful gun thing to hit the market, they are all revolutionary. I'll wait till I read a few objective reports on the effectiveness of the slug from a writer with no stake in the sale of these things. Till then I think I will keep buying shot and slugs.
 
Standard slugs are hardly made by Nerf. These may or may not be more effective than a given slug, but they'll have to open up a season on velociraptors before I feel the need to try these......
 
I'm wanting to try them... well... just because they are there. Sure looks like good Hog medicine to me.

I would stick with the tried and true options as well, especially Tri-Ball.
