I was recently kicking around the idea of picking up a double barrel 12 gauge side by side to supplement my home defense gun. My Remington 870 is a bit unwieldy for the purpose with the 28" barrel. A friend just picked up a 12 gauge "Coach Gun" for CAS and I liked it. My question is though, does anybody still make a side by side with ejectors instead of extractors on the barrel?
For a shotgun with this role in mind, I want something that can be reloaded quickly, and hauling the hulls out of the chambers manually is not what I had in mind for "fast". Growing up, a neighbor had a 12 Gauge that would kick both hulls completely clear when it was openned.
Any help would be appreciated.
