just wondering what anybody's thoughts are on the rounds if they've ever used them. i've been through about 100 and i love them but really haven't expanded my shotgun ammo horizons. is there anything better out there? i mean...besides these of course

The combination load of a large, near bore size ball combined with smaller buck is a revival of a very old load. Like 1600 AD something.

"Buck and Ball" loads in old muskets contributed greatly to the casualty lists in battles with names like Antietam, Gettysburg,etc.

I'd want to pattern these before replacing my current HD load, but the concept itself has merit.....

I load several different Buck & Ball loads. As an inside-the-home round, I don't see that it is any more effective than plain ol' Buck, but for some outside applications, it can be very effective.
