ive been using a german brand, dynamit nobel, for years. they store really well, and fit tight.

im almost out of my stockpile of them, but i bought 500 winchester magnum bp at wallyworld for $15.

they seem to fit looser(on my knight wolverine). they sound just as loud tho.

anybody got any experience with them(winchester)?

what brands do you normally use?

The ones that I have been running into latelly are the CCI's. I have used others in the past. These CCI's are fitting tight on new nipples or at least that is what I'm seeing and we are talking #11's.

Be Safe !!!

As Ronald Reagan always said, "Well..."

I use CCIs 10 and 11 and I have some old Remingtons which I have nearly shot up.

I haven't bought any RWS caps since K-Mart stopped selling them. And RWS is the only brand that won't fit into my TC clear view snail capper because they're just a little too tall.
I mostly use both old & new Remington caps. Old #10 Remington Golden caps fit the same as today's Remington #11's because they used to be made oversized.
And the old Remington Golden #11's were like #12's and will fit oversized nipples.

dynamit nobel

Does anyone know where to find Dynamit Nobel RWS #1075 percussion caps?
I bought some a few years ago, and they work great, but now I haven't
had any luck finding any more of them to buy. I believe they're made in Germany. If anyone knows where to find them, please let me know...

thanks

I didn't have any success with Winchester Magnum (aka CCI) caps on my factory ROA nipples. I switched to Remington #10s and #11s and they work great on my factory ROA nipples and my Treso nipples I put on my Pietta and Uberti made revolvers.

dynamit nobel

I ordered the RWS caps from Dixie Gun Works lastnight, and they shipped today. Thanks for the info, Arcticap ...

I prefer CCI. RWS are a lil too tight but function well. Remington's are a lil loose and the 10's I use are bad about losing priming compound. I'd not use Remington at all if I could find #10 CCI locally. I do use RWS musket caps tho.

Fiocchi percussion caps.

I have a 20 year supply. :D

I do have plenty of Remington, CCI and RWS caps too.

I do have a brick of Remington #12 caps too. Rarer than hen's teeth, but handy if you have certain 2nd generation Colt percussion revolvers from the 1960's.

Don't suppose you have any 9's do you?
