Nyterunner,
Hey there, I'm currently the proud owner of a Remington 11-87P. So, far I love this SG. However, I'll admit I only have 2 boxes through mine as I haven't had enough time to break it in and put some serious hurt on it.
People either seem to love'em or hate'em. However, I notice most who bash them are Benelli fan(atics) who've never owned one. Personally I like both, but prefer American and steel receivers.
Anyway, my only concern is the supposed use of MIM (metal injection molded parts) which I believe I've read are used for some parts in these. If you know much about MIM parts they're slated as everything from complete sh*t to the greatest thing since sliced bread (if done properly).
Personally, I'm not completely decided yet. I plan on running 50 rounds through mine tommorow. I know this isn't much, but I'll report back tommorow late pm on what happened with everything from slugs to heavy and light (tactical) buck loads. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about what goes into these SGs can give us the lowdown on any MIM parts used in the guts of 11-87P.
