11.5 uppers

I've decided to get an 11.5 or 10.5 inch A2 upper for my AR-15 SBR. I'm looking at either a M1S or MDS (selling on Gunbroker), can anyone recommend one or the other (or even some other company)?

This is a play-toy so I'm just looking for something that will run right, but also keep the price down.

Not sure but try looking at CMMG. I think they make an 11.5 upper. You may get lucky and find a Colt out there somewhere on the internet but it won't be cheap.

Agree with Rant.

If you've got the coin, I'd go with an LMT MRP/CQB upper with the 10.5" tube. Ditch the A2 FH and install a Noveske KX3 FS.

I built one as a parts kit from www.model1sales.com. I got the 10-1/4" and mated it to my STAG ARMS Left Hand upper receiver. It shoots fantastic. I've shot 1.5" groups with it with my 10x Super Sniper scope.

You can buy just the complete upper from them for about $320.

Currently I have it sighted at 50yards with the dot scope and flip-up YMH sights. I also have a M4-2000 suppressor and even with the short barrel, there isn't as much gas blowback as I would have expected.
