10mm ??

If you want a GOOD 10mm, no there is not another one besides the Glock. The others (S&W and Colt) require work to get up to their full potential. The Glock is good out of the box.

jaykay397; I like the 10mm round but I'll never buy a 10mm pistol. "Rumor" has it Glock is going to drop their G-20. Well gee, that's about the best 10 mill on the market! There's an EAA Witness pistol in 10mm. Reports have been good. As far as NEW pistols are concerned there's just not alot out there. It's really a shame because the 10mm is excellent. Turn your .45 into a .45 super or get a .41 magnum. Best Regards, J. Parker

If you want the BEST 10mm there nothing better than a Smith & Wesson model 610.

Ive wanting to get my first glock and I can have fun and switch the .21 to super.
My big question is can I switch the glock 21
to use the 20 barrel and shoot 10MM.
Ive also as read good things about the witness EAA as last as yesterday.
I think one thing that helped hurt this round
was the confusion of bringing out the .400 corbon which to me is just a variation.
I seem to see more guns custom made for this caliber than 10mm.
I want one because its one of the most powerful rounds you can find without having to order the ammo and it doesnt have the dangerous (in court) magnum word next to it.

Right, I forgot about the S&W revolver 10 mm. That is the BEST 10 mm out there. Closely followed by the Glock 20. My only concern with the 10mm revolver is do you have to use those damn half or full moon clips?

Yes you do have to use the clips, so any sort of tactical reload is out. However, at a pin shoot or for general target or hunting use they make a 6 round reload very fast. I never have found a good way to carry spare loaded clips though. Any ideas?

My 1076 is great, even though I will dread the day something breaks on it. Easy to carry, accurate for combat purposes, a shame it was dropped from the line.

I shoot both a glock 10mm and a witness 10mm and my witness shoots better then my glock. Also, I have a bit of problem with the squishy feel of the glock during recoil. Nice gun though.

Yea, you can. You need Glock 20 magazines, a heavier recoil spring, and a Glock 20 barrel. To get the best results you need a Glock 20 extractor too. Read my website writeup.

That IS a very good reason to get a 10mm. I too am of the opinion that only semi-autos like the Desert Eagle in 44 magnum can surpass the "real" 10mm (not the 10mm lite loads).

The 10mm was originally up there in the 600+ ft lb class, then it was downloaded *back* to 45acp levels. In the quest for more velocity and energy the pendulum swung too far and returned to where they started - 45acp and a light 10mm, aka, .40 S&W.
