The thread about the 327 federal rifle got me to wondering about a 10mm rifle. The 10mm out of a short barreled rifle would be a very good woods gun imo. The round is already acheiving 1600 fps and over 750 ftlbs of energy out of a Glock 20.
Do you think the longer barrel would aid the round or hender it? I would think it would help espeicially with the heavier 180gr loads...
A lever action would be nice, and the ammo capacity would be great due to the relatively short cartridge.
An auto loader like the old ruger 44mag or Marlin 9mm rifles would be even better! It would make for a great short to intermediate ranged hog/deer gun.
