10mm New Vaquero

Hey all,

I'm about to ship a New Vaquero off to convert it to 10mm. I know, why right?

1. I want something unique.
2. I love revolvers, but also the 10mm.
3. I had a moonclip bind on a 610, that was all for me.
4. Not using moonclips on a 610 = punching cases with a pencil.

In all actuality, it just seems like a perfect fit to me. You punch cases individually, so there's no need for a rim. The .40 diameter seems like a nice fit for a New Vaquero-sized revolver. Also, I'm going to have a second cylinder fitted for 40SW.

So, has anyone else had this done? I'm going to start with a 3.5" Montado, then probably have a second done on a 7.5" New Vaquero and add adjustable sights. That should make a dandy hunting piece.

For some reason the blackhawk frame has always seemed "clunky" to me. I'm a sucker for the SAA lines.

While you are at it go ahead and have a cylinder made in .38 WCF (aka .38-40)

The .38 WCF and .40 S&W are ballistic twins so the sight picture should work the same for both loads. Sight regulation on that 10mm might be a different animal
