10mm Forum????????

Q!!

I remember seeing a thread with a link to a 10mm specific forum, but I have no idea where I saw it. Anybody happen to know of any 10mm forums???

I knew I would get a quick answer. Thanks.

I have a couple Witness Elite Match's and I just picked up a new Glock 29. 10mm are addicting.

I noticed that also. Must be that few folks can handle the 10mm or they are to cheap to feed it.

Unless you relaod, it's next to impossible to find non-HD ammo for a 10mm these days. Not much to talk about.

The 10mm is another excellent cartridge (like the .41 Mag) designed to be and much touted by the "experts" as the be-all-end-all cartridge for LE and self-defense. Both were simply too large (long) and too powerful to be popular choices in that market.

The .40S&W just sort of "happened"--no fanfare, no big-name, gun expert backers--but it's taken the place both the 10mm and .41 Mag were intended to fill. Not because it outperforms them but because it fits into more conveniently sized pistols and is a much closer match to what most shooters can tolerate in terms of recoil.

.40 S&W is just a compromise for the ignorant. Gun virgins are told 9mm is to weak, and .45 has to much recoil, along came the compromise. To those who know no better it's perfect. My opinion (and its only that) is 9mm can be made to perform well, and .45 can be loaded to have any amount of recoil you'd like and still do the job well.

According to several major vendors .25ACP is one of the most popular handgun ammunitions sold! Even that little pup can do the job well given that it has VERY low recoil, and hopefully the shooter is smart enough to put at least 3-5 rounds into his / her target before letting up.

10mm

It seems to me that most shooters who respond to 10mm threads have never shot one let alone own one. It's essentially a 10mm mag. It's a great round, especially out of a Glock 20. Recoil is overstated as is the scarcity of ammo. Mike McNett at Double tAp will sell you all the ammo you want. And yes, I own a G20 and even as a senior, I can control it reasonably well one handed. It has no more snap than my G27.

I agree. It falls into the low end of the magnum pistol class, essentially duplicating the performance of the .357Magnum.

I've never had problems finding ammunition for my 10mms (though I don't expect to go buy it off the shelf @ Wal-Mart) and have never found recoil to be an issue unless you count the day I put 1000 rounds through a G20 in a single day. I started feeling a bit uncomfortable somewhere about halfway through the case.

Here is a page with multiple links:

With the exception of .22lr, I shoot more 10mm auto than any other round. I have been doing this for years; also reload for it.

I am a huge fan of the cartridge. Most folks have their favorite handgun round, this one is mine.

I don't know how many of you crazy 10mm guys know about this, but VLTOR is coming out with a new 10mm pistol that closely mimics the Bren Ten. In fact, they fixed all the problems with the old model, and secured the rights to the name Bren Ten. I'm not sure when it'll be out, but you can keep up with it at : http://vltor.wordpress.com/

I'll probably see how they do, and pick one up used. But other than that, I could give a rip about the 10mm.

Yes...we know....

Oh yes, we know...we wait day by day, hour by hour, for the release of the the "new Bren-Ten."--Patrice:)
