I have an opportunity to buy one of these. Anyone had experience with them? Details?

Thanks!

I've got one, it's a nice shooter. My wife likes it also, low recoil. There seems to be a large price range for these pistols. I've seen average condition black ones going anywhere from $400 to $600.

they r great guns. but the 1911 isn't really designed for the 10mm. recoil is present, but if u can handle the .45ACP, then the 10mm won't be too much of a stretch. the 10mm is one of the most versatile rounds avialable...from plinking to self defence to hunting.

i like them a lot...i have two!

Excellent gun. Great cartridge that is underappreciated. I have two Delta's and both are excellent guns. I have had several thousand rounds through mine with no problems. With todays factory stuff you shouldn't either. The factory ammo today is toned way back from what it once was, so gun life is non-issue. Get's you about 100-200 fps advantage over the 40 Short&Weak with any given bullet. Semper Fi

I bought one when they first came out. I like it. They're great if you handload, since you can load down for plinkers and practice, and hot for carry.

If you load to the maximum pressure the gun can take, the cycling forces can be hard on the frame. But, there is no need to shoot thousands of "hot loads".

I have a few hundred hot loads through mine with no problems.

I'd call it a "Buy!", for sure.

I have one also - and echo Echo's comments.

Replace the recoil spring with at least a 22 pounder. I have a 24 .lb in mine and it still cycles all the low powered 10mm ammo 100%.

And you can get 9 round mags for it from Brownell's.
