1076 price check

Is $450 for a Smith 1076 with one mag a fair price??
The guns are in good shape, but I an not too sure that they are worth that much cash.
Got a hankerin' for another 10mm.

If the gun's in good shape, $450 isn't bad at all. (See if you can shoot it first.)

The 9rd Smith mags are available from a number of sources. Some can be found still new in the wrapper. Last I saw, CDNN had some "excellent" condition ones pretty cheap, but I don't have the flyer handy to give you a price.

Wolff offers stiffer (+10%) springs, if any used mags you get seem iffy. AFAIK, the white followers are still available from S&W.

Good price. I paid $525 for my 1006 with 5 mags.

I recently paid $400 for one in exc condition with one mag, and found 2 more for $20 ea.

I paid $350 for a police trade-in, and an extra mag, etc.

As someone else suggested, make sure you can shoot it before you buy. They can be a beast.

I sold mine back to the dealer from whom I bought it -- for $25 less than I paid. (He's good for that sort of thing.)

I discovered I don't like large-caliber, high bore-axis S&W autos. (No problems with the 9mm guns, though.)

I passed on it, it was one of the police trade-ins that cost about $325, thats a pretty steep mark up for a play gun for me.
Nice weapon, but I will find another that is cheaper.

Walt, have you ever shot the 1006? It is a pretty big gun, but it shoots full power 10mm loads like puppy.
