Pretty soon we'll all have to use pellet guns for HD if we keep going down this road...
You can buy all the guns you want in my county but you can't buy a pellet gun. The state preempted local government from regulating sales of guns but not air rifles.

I've been hording all the .177 caliber pellets from outdoor world. I got 25,000 of them now. I'm selling them for $1 dollar a pellet, 3for $5 dollars or 6 for $10.:D

That is about 4 times what they are worth. I got some from Wal-mart two weeks ago for $19.00. Who ever these people are they are just making thing worse for all of use. It just makes more people want to buy up and sell at some ridiculous price  I have had to do some looking but I have been able to find ammo except .380:confused:

These ammo prices are crazy, I payed $340 for 1000 .223 at a local shop the other day and felt good about it. A year ago I would have laughed at the price.

7 bids.

4 of them by the same bidder.

Hmmmm...

Hey, that's the way supply and demand works. And this could be a good thing. Prices get so high that people start selling their extra ammo. Supply goes up, prices start back down.

I've actually considered selling some of my ammo just to make some money. I can replace it when normal gets here again. I sold some of my high capacity magazines the last year of the AWB because I was sure it was going to sunset. If people were willing to pay crazy prices for mags I didn't use, then I wasn't going to turn them down on it!

As far as ammo though, the problem is that some of it you really can't replace. Even if commercial ammo prices come back down eventually, it sure seems like the days of buying giant cases of 7.62 NATO surplus cheap are behind us. I got some good deals on all kinds of surplus ammo in the last few years. But if I sell it, the odds are good I'm not going to be able to replace it!

Maybe I can barter some surplus ammo for some primers!!!!

Folks - we're just wasting our time and energy being flabbergasted at the atrocious prices being asked for ammo and firearms. It's going to continue for awhile. When it's over, then a thread announcing that would be very welcome.
