$100 Makarov...

...and I got it. That's right, boys and girls, $100! (I have to gloat a little bit!):D

It's a Bulgarian, with number matching mags, holster and cleaning rod. It's used, but the blueing is better than 95% and I got both the red bakelite and black plastic grips.

I saw new Bulgarians at the show last weekend for $139 and new E. Germans for $179, (but not many of either one). So, at $100, (that's right, $100!), I couldn't pass it up. Well, that's one more crossed off the wish list! Now, a week or so of tearing it apart, cleaning and polishing, (not that it needs it, I just like to get 'familiar' with my new toys), then off to the range to fire it. I can't wait!

Wow, you saved a whole 40$ on a used commie gun. Now a 100$ SIG would be worth bragging about.

BTW, good on ya anyway.;)

Sure is a great buy. Since even the Bulgie Makarov is worth more than a Sig by some peoples standards. ;)

Personally, although the Sig is a great gun... The Makarov is superior according to my experience. And, now it's cheaper to.

If I had the money I'd buy the Makarovs by the truck load. It's just a matter of time, most likely, until folks realize WHY they were over a thousand dollars just a few years ago... IF you could get one.

No offense to Sig lovers by the way... they are good guns.

Makarovs are great guns however... FWIW :)

How many mags did it come with? With a holster and cleaning rod, I'd say any reliable pistol is worth $100 easy.

Dad,

Congratulations! :)

We just picked up two Bulgarian Maks last month, one for my grandson, and another for me! :D

My new Bulgarian shoots even better groups than my beloved Russian commercial model, which has adjustable sights!

Now if you really want to enjoy shooting your new Mak, get a set of Pearce grips, and some magazine loaders from Makarov.com!

My Russian model was starting to throw brass the length of the firing line, but a 21# recoil spring cured that, and it still feeds my lightest handloads perfectly.
