This was in our local paper today. Just so happens the girl's father, John Creek, is a friend of mine, as is the gunsmith who built her rifle, Bruce Artus.

Caylyn Creek has her eyes focused on something many girls her age have no idea of and little interest about: a target - sitting 1,000 yards away.
Through the scope of a $5,000, high-precision rifle, Caylyn, 10, who wears glasses to read in her Goodnight Elementary fourth-grade class, recently became the youngest shooter to participate in a National Bench Rest Shooters Association-sanctioned event.
