I recently purchased a couple of 10-round mags for my Mini-14 from CDNN.
The quality of manufacture seems to be quite high (even better than PMI). The sale person told me that they were "Masen" or "Forrest" and that they are very high quality.
While I have not tested the magazines for reliable feeding, they unfortunately do not appear to lockback the bolt when empty. When pushed from the bottom and held with some pressure, they do, but NOT when simply inserted and the bolt pulled back.
Should I return these OR see if they feed 100% and, if so, keep them? Did anyone else have a similar problem with these mags?
In a related story, I have some 20-round and 30-round mags (including PMI) that will not activate the bolt hold-open device. So, when I insert them into the rifle and pull the bolt back, the bolt will stay locked, only because it is caught by the follower. As soon as I release the magazines, the bolt slams shut.
Anyone else have this problem, too?
