10% misfires on PPK clone after spring mods.

I have a FEG 22 clone of a PPK. It had probably a 15 - 20 lb trigger pull in DA, so I attempted to decrease the tension on the trigger by reducing the spring length cutting a loop or two off the coil. after three cuts the trigger was very nice during dry firing. with rounds in the mag it now misfires approximately 10-15% usually firing with a second or third strike. Did I just take a liitle too much off? Should I attempt to relatively lengthen the spring to increase the tension slightly? Any other ideas???

Mept, yes I'd say you shortened it too much. I'd get a couple of replacement springs and try the pistol between cuts. When you start getting misfires you'll know you can only shorten 1 cut less. You might also contact Wolff at www.gunsprings.com and see if they have a reduced power spring for the pistol. George
