I'd like to know if there are any sources for 10 gauge 2 7/8 shells,
or if any of you reloaders are cutting down 3 1/2 inch for an old
2 7/8 chamber. I've got a line on a fluid steel double ( circa 1910 )
and I'd like to get some info on whats available- also, if any of you
think I'm nuts feel free to say so. ( you won't be the first )

You're far from nuts, many old doubles are fine shooters.

Bismuth loads are available for waterfowling. I believe Gamebore carries lead shot loads.

Ballistic Products carries components suitable for building the short 10.

HTH...

good luck

I have never seen 2 7/8 load for a 10 gauge but I wish they would make one I thought about taking some of my 3 1/2 shells and cutting them shorter then making some skeet loads but I'm not sure how well that would work and it would be nice if they just make one you could buy factory loaded. But I guess what we think isnt that important because the factorys are just going to tell us what we like anyway.
