10/22 volume magazine

Can anyone recommend a good Ruger 10/22 high capacity magazine manufacturer? I'm interested in some of the drum magazines (it seems like it would be cost effective to load up 100 rounds at home and only pay for 30 minutes at the range, and fun to stalk varmints all day without any ammo on my shoulder); are they reliable or just awfully prone to jamming?
 
The most reliable mags are either the Buttler Creek Steel-lips mags or the Tactical Innovations magazines.

The TacInc aluminum mags are the best of the best. They are machined from a solid billet of aluminum. They are fully adjustable for feed angle/height AND can be taken apart for cleaning. They also cost $70 each though.:(

A compromise are their composite mags. They are only $35 each and 99% as good as the aluminum mags. Still extremely strong though. Sometimes they run a "3-pack special".

Their "Box loader" is also a great thing to have. Not as fast as a mechanical loader, but a big improvement over your thumbs. Good to keep around as a backup or for for going into the field.

Pay by the hour at the range??? What is this world coming to??? I'm glad I live out west.

Doesn't sound like a very convincing argument. You could still just load up your mags at home even if they are factory 10-rounders.

I just bought 5 clear Ruger mags, & have a couple of Ram Line high caps, but prefer the 10 rounders... but I do want to replace the mag release, & those guys seem to have a good replacement for the factory bolt release ( which seems not to agree very well with me, on my rifle )... $16.00 for both, seems like a good upgrade to me...;)

Ok, so the cost-effective argument is a little thin. Maybe I'm trying to justify turning my 10-22 into a monster with something warm and fuzzy like saving time..who knows. T

Be sure to break them in. Only load 17-20 rounds at first. (I tend to only load about 23 even when fully broken in for maximum reliability. They also seem to like being lubed with a coating of CLP and then left disassembled overnight so they can dry.
