10/22 Volquartsen hammer and sear or let smith do it?

Should I buy the hammer and sear replacement from Volquartsen or should I let my smith do a complete trigger job on it. The cost is about the same. I know the Volquartsen is nice can the smith match that? Or get it even better?
Thanks

Any decent gunsmith should be able to do far better than drop-in parts.

Scratch, a smith should be able to do as good or better than simply replacing the parts but it will probably be less expensive to just buy the part and put it in. I have a friend/customer who put one in his 10/22 not long ago and is very proud of it. George

I installed the Volq. hammer only, (well, also the springs that came with it) and I'm getting a good pull of about 2.5#. Pretty easy job.
