10/22 scope mount and rings

I just purchased a used 10/22 and wish to mount a 3-9X40 scope to this little rifle. Can anyone recommend a base and rings as the rifle came without the Ruger base.
Thanx,

If it's a standard 10/22, I would just get a Weaver TO-9 base and the Millet rings, as recoil is nonexistent and the 10/22 is not known to be a tackdriver anyway. If you have the 10/22T, look at http://www.jackweigand.com/ and order their cantilever scope mount and rings.

I have mine outfitted w/the Volquartsen mount and Leupold QRW. Shoots nice w/an IMI carbon graphite barrel and Tasco World class plus 3.5-10.

A factory 10/22 mount shouldn't be too hard to find. I've seen bins of them at gun shows. They usually go for about $4.00 and work absolutely fine.

Thanks for the input, I'll probably end up putting a Weaver on the little rifle.
I installed the target trigger last nite and while not as crisp as my 1911 triggers, it's a dramatic improvement over the factory pull.
Also waiting for the Butler creek carbon fiber barrel and bipod stock to arrive..Mark / Fl

When you get that Butler Creek carbon fiber barrel, take it out of the package and roll it on the counter at the gun shop. If it isn't straight, have them send it back. They are usually pretty good, but every now and then one is really crooked.
