10/22 cycle problems

This gun was designed to cycle 22 Long Rifle rounds. You just don't have enough power in the CB rounds to cycle the action. I'm sure it's stamped on the barrel or in the owners manual somewhere what ammo to use.

When you use the cb short rounds you turn your semi-auto rifle into a single shot rifle. You may experience the same problem with the Aguila SSS 60 gr bullets. There is not enough powder to cyle the action.

Midway USA sell a conversion kit but its around $230. It consists of a small/lighter bolt, weaker action spring, and a clip.

Always best to read info, on barrel

Once had a .22 semi-automatic rifle and the barrel read something like this;
Use, .22LR Auto; Longs and Shorts; Bolt Action
Found this initially confusing but then figured out how to work the bolt handle, like a bolt action rifle. .... ;)

Be Safe !!!

Yeah, that's probably as much or more than the gun cost. Also, you have to change it back to shoot long rifle or the bolt slams back with too much velocity. It's an "either/or" option. It won't let you shoot both.

I don't think that is what was said.

You can shoot the CBs in your rifle. You will have to cycle the bolt manually each time.

Alternatively you can buy the thingy from Midway and cycle the CBs through your rifle but MOST likely, you will beat the crap out of your rifle if you switch back to 22LR.

What is printed/stamped on the barrel of you rifle is what you should be using.

22LR is the best of the bunch and they will run in your rifle just fine.

I am surprised you even found CBs and I cannot imagine you really want to shoot them.

With a strong wind from the front, you can almost run as fast as one of them on the way to the target.

Many older pump action rifles were chambered for 22 short, 22 long and 22 long rifle. After years of shooting shorts, you might not be able to chamber a 22 long rifle.

Over the years, pretty much all have faded from the scene except the 22 long rifle.

There is a reason for it. The 22 long rifle is the best of the bunch.

WHY ALL THE YELLING? WE CAN HEAR YOU JUST FINE!

The .22 short conversion is for full power .22 shorts, not cb shorts.
.22 cb's are unlikely to cycle any semi auto.
