1.5"shellconversion-870express

just bought a remington 870 express, guy i bought it from was talking about a 1.5" shell conversion, but never did it. people have told me about other shotguns that will feed the shells, mostly bottom ejecting guns but no one seems to know anything about getting my gun to feed them, does anyone know anything about the conversion, or if it even exists. i have the shells, and they won't feed unless the gun is level.

check the aguila website. it's got sugesstions on there for modifications. I'd not modify my gun or use the mini shotshells, because they're unreliable, and aren't what the gun was designed to use, unlike full size shells.

Lessee, you're about to modify one of the all time champs for durability, performance and reliability just so you can use expensive but not more effective ammo that has no advantage other then you can cram one or two more into the mag?

IMO, any crisis you cannot handle with 4 rounds of standard shotgun ammo will likely NOT be handled by one or two rounds more.

Better than possibly compromising the reliability of your 870, buy standard ammo, shoot up same practicing reloading drills(check old threads here, including Crisis Management Reloading) and likely be deadlier than using exotic stuff.

And sell those Aguila pixie loads to someone you don't like....
